Fate/Stay Night

I believe justice is basically one who is willing to sacrifice what he/she believes in or holds dear for the greater good.
When people get what they deserve

There are some good people. who are selfless

Fate / Stay Night

Fate/stay night (フェイト/ステイナイト, Feito/sutei naito?) is a Japanese eroge visual novel game created by TYPE-MOON, which was originally released on January 30, 2004. It is TYPE-MOON's first commercial work, following its transition from a doujin soft visual novel group.

Archer
His belief that he would continue to save many people as a Heroic Spirit did happen, but it was through being made to clean up after human actions and forced to take many lives to save humanity as a whole, instead of "saving everyone" - protecting humans without having to cause deaths of humans as he would have liked to. After seeing human self-destruction and forced to oppose his own ideals countless times, he began to deny himself and his ideal.

Archer desperately came to believe that his only hope of release was to have himself summoned into an era where Shirou Emiya exists and kill his past self, hoping that the double paradox created by Shirou Emiya being killed before having a chance to make the contract with Alaya and that the killing was done by a Shirou Emiya who successfully made the contract with the world would create a time paradox great enough in magnitude that could potentially erase his existence as a Counter Guardian

His personality is very contradicting. While he is thoroughly cynical and nihilistic, he is at the same time devoted and protective, and even a little childish to the point that it makes him hard to hate. He doesn't lie, but he does keep secrets and tell half truths. He means well and is capable of being nice, but often ends up being sarcastic, especially so when he gives advice. He cannot approve of Shirou’s ideal of becoming a Hero of Justice due to his own experience, but at the same time he cannot deny it due to the same reasons.

Shirou
Due to the trauma he suffered during the great fire, Shirou has a constant emptiness in his personality and suffers from tremendous survivor's guilt. He feels that, as the only survivor, it is unfair to the deceased to prioritize his own needs before those of others. He has a distorted sense of values where he only finds self-worth from helping people without any compensation, feeling that the very act “helping people” is its own reward. He believes it is highly unfair that some people survive and others don't. When it comes down to receiving an injury or even giving up his life to help someone, he will do it without a second thought. The people who see this side of him are often very worried and attempt to correct his behavior, though they are unable to change his opinions. Kiritsugu often talked about how he used strive to protect the innocent from the world's many perils, even at the cost of his own humanity, and how he was saddened by the reality that whenever he was able to spare one life, another person was fated to die.

Shirou is extremely stubborn once he sets out to accomplish something, such as spending hours attempting to perform a high jump that is nearly impossible for him. This action, as watched by Rin and Sakura, is one of the initial factors that causes them both to develop feelings for Shirou. He will stubbornly defend his own viewpoints, no matter how wrong they may seem to others, even to the point of causing them great mental anguish. Though he does his best to help others, if he feels that a person brought about their own ruin, he will simply watch instead of helping. Nasu has stated that Shirou and Shiki Tohno would definitely get along badly.

Freedom & Justice

We started this week by watching a documentary of a man and his girlfriend walking for 100 kilometres naked.   On their journey they encountered many obstacles like assault by pedestrians and also being arrested by police.
This documentary was ment to how us or inspire ideas on what we think freedom and justice is.  The documentary was called The Naked Rambellers.
The man to me was very annoying to watch as he didn't consider any of his actions to harm anyone else including his girlfriend and ex-girlfriend.
I found his cause for the beauty of the human body to be decent but his attitude towards others for his cause was not right and very irritating.

I must research into what I believe freedom and justice Is.
I'm not really sure what I see freedom and justice to be  as I never really think or encounter this sort of subject before.

Crit

Today I had a crit which I missed.
But I hadn't competed the work because I found the current project very difficult and I could put my head around.  I asked for help but didn't receive so I just continued struggling.  I plan to try and finish it on the weekend with a degree student who was willing to help me out.

What I learned was my class is not helpful and tutors are not that helpful neither.

Next unit I will finish on time and complete my task.

Title Sequence

Damages

I spent the entire morning filming in canary wharf and North Greenwich recording footage of tall buildings and interesting environments that related to or added to feel of the TV series Damages.
However i did not find locations of stone statue themed law . i.e justice woman or the Libra law symbol.

In the afternoon i spent the day editing and adding effects that matched the colours and atmosphere of the opening title sequence

This is the finished Title Sequence

Feedback

The editing matches the pacing of the original
Use of colour coding is good
Decent locations and camera angels
The airplane shot was done extremely well

The "Damages" name should be grey or black the red makes it look like a horror.

I recently now have chosen the TV series Damages as a Guide for my Title sequence project that I struggled with in the past. I will be using a series of time lapses and a few friends as actors for some of the shots.
I like the colour of the whole opening it emphasis the over all theme of the show.

I will be filming at these locations:
Greenwich (North and South )
Tower Bridge

On Friday I had a mid crit where I had to talk about how I will be creating my title sequence for this unit.
The title sequence I have found to be the most difficult of all the work I have had to make so far.
As the research for the genres is limited to western Bollywood and thriller.
I have struggled to find a tv or film with a title sequence that I would like to base the pacing and style plus the font I would want to use for my title sequence.
I wanted to use the 2015 tv series Daredevil, Jessica Jones.
I'm still trying to find a way to portray the theme and concept of the tv series into a title sequence.

Negative Space Day 1

Today we used some of the footage from yesterday and edited the first 30 seconds of the advertisement
.
We split up and some of us went off to take photographs of of areas that relate with negative space.
What I have learnt today is that I'm believe i have found a reliable and hard working group that i would be happy to work with in future projects .
Also I have learnt more about the 7D cannon mark 2 camera and the different lenses.  This camera is an amazing powerful improvement to the 700D cannon SLR.

We went out into main Greenwich and filmed up on the observatory, on campus of Greenwich university and in the woods.
We finished up and filmed the rest  of advert in the O2.
And then we spent the rest of the day together editing the advert; thinking of sound and text.

Advertisment

On the first day back in foundation we got introduced to unit 8
We watched some advertisements which all used different forms of advertising. There was a Honda ad that used inspiration from an artist.........
Another called creature features which was like an interview using stop motion
And the last was an Sony tv advert about colour.

Getting into groups of four we were given a word.
Before we got paired up. I thought up a car alarm advert which was inspired by my own experience of losing a car alarm.  It was a girl who bought a new car and went to a series of parties but the alarm keeps going off and interrupting her fun so she got it removed.
Then she went to another party and at the end went into her car and gets raped/killed in her own car. This is ment to shock market people into not removing car alarms and the tag line would be " it's installed for a reason".
However as we are paired into groups and have a select thing to advertise 'Negative Space' which is extremely hard to physically sell as it's not a physical form so we spent half the day coming up with an idea for the advert.
Eventually we decided to use negative space as a way of people needing personal space in their lives.
So we will be filming a sequence of a P. O. V of someone getting his personal space violated.  Then he will finally be free in an open field with room to breath.
